Aynsley "Banquet" Fine Bone China Tea & Soup Service (22 Pieces)
A handsome vintage Aynsley "Banquet" fine bone china tea and soup service, made in England and decorated in a traditional mid-century English style.
The service comprises six double-handled cream soup bowls, eight tea cups and eight matching saucers. The celebrated "Banquet" pattern features colourful classical urns overflowing with fruit and flowers, framed by ornate scrollwork and decorative borders, all enhanced with hand-applied gold gilt edging.
Each piece bears the distinctive green Aynsley crown backstamp associated with production at the historic Portland Works factory in Staffordshire before English manufacture ceased. The service remains an attractive example of traditional English fine bone china from the mid to late twentieth century.
