A highly collectible pair of vintage Cathrineholm Lotus enamel casserole dishes, dating from the 1960s and produced in Norway as part of the iconic Scandinavian Lotus range.


Designed by Arne Clausen, with the Lotus pattern associated with celebrated Norwegian designer Grete Prytz Kittelsen, the dishes feature the instantly recognisable turquoise blue and white flowing Lotus leaf decoration. The combination of practical enamel cookware and bold modernist styling made Cathrineholm one of the most celebrated Scandinavian enamelware manufacturers of the mid-century period.


This matching pair comprises two different sizes, offering an attractive combination for collectors of Scandinavian design, vintage enamelware and mid-century modern kitchenware. Both retain strong colour and attractive decoration, with minor enamel wear and scuffing consistent with age and previous use.

Condition Report: Very good vintage condition. Strong turquoise Lotus decoration with minor areas of enamel wear and small black scuff marks from previous use. No major enamel chips, cracks, repairs or serious rusting observed.
