Dartington Crystal Hollywood Bowl FT Series – Frank Thrower Frosted Lead Crystal

£45.00Price
Quantity

A superb example of late twentieth-century British art glass, this vintage Dartington Crystal "Hollywood" bowl was designed by Frank Thrower, the influential designer responsible for many of Dartington's most recognisable glass forms.

The bowl's bold floral design features alternating high and low petals, creating a dramatic sculptural profile. The frosted textured exterior contrasts beautifully with the smooth crystal interior, giving the piece both visual impact and practical versatility.

Produced in Devon, England, Dartington Crystal became internationally recognised for combining modern design with traditional glassmaking skills. Frank Thrower's work helped establish the company as one of Britain's leading names in contemporary glass during the 1970s and 1980s.

This large format example is particularly appealing as a centrepiece, fruit bowl, decorative display piece or collector's item. Its excellent condition, substantial crystal weight and distinctive design make it a desirable example of British modernist glass.
