Gondolo Amber Pressed Glass Art Deco Dessert Bowls – c. 1930s
A charming set of five vintage Gondolo amber pressed glass handled dessert bowls, dating from approximately the 1930s–1950s and featuring the distinctive geometric styling associated with French Art Deco glassware.
Each shallow dish has the characteristic stepped-rib or accordion design, with horizontal geometric ribbing and a solid triangular pressed-glass handle. The warm amber colouring and substantial pressed construction create an attractive architectural appearance typical of European glassware from the interwar and mid-century period.
Originally suitable for serving desserts, sweets, fruit or ice cream, these versatile dishes make an appealing grouped collection for collectors of Gondolo glass, French Art Deco and vintage pressed glassware. The bases are unmarked, which is found on examples from Gondolo promotional production.
