Goujin Nomura × BOTANIZE - Japanese Studio Pottery Pedestal Plant Pot Stand
This piece is from celebrated Japanese ceramic artist Goujin Nomura and the renowned BOTANIZE botanical collaborations. Confirmation has been made directly with BOTANIZE. An exceptional contemporary Japanese studio pottery pedestal stand finished in a dramatic black Tenmoku-style glaze with natural white and bronze oil-spot mottling.
Standing 6.5 cm high with a broad 8 cm base and a 6.5 cm upper opening, the piece combines sculptural form with practical function. Its distinctive hourglass profile provides a stable base for displaying miniature bonsai, succulent or caudex plant pots while the enclosed upper reservoir catches excess water.
The finish exhibits the rich iron glazes and natural crystallisation admired in modern Japanese ceramic art, giving every example a unique appearance.
Whether used as intended beneath a collector's plant pot or displayed as a sculptural ceramic object in its own right, this is an impressive example of contemporary Japanese studio craftsmanship.
