Landert Swiss Ceramic Fondue Pot – Mid-Century Caquelon, Unglazed Exterior

£35.00Price
Quantity

A vintage Swiss ceramic fondue pot (caquelon) produced by Landert Keramik of Embrach during the mid-20th century.

This example features a natural unglazed exterior paired with a glossy brown glazed interior, reflecting traditional Swiss functional pottery design.

Designed specifically for cheese fondue, the thick ceramic construction ensures even heat distribution over a tabletop rechaud burner. The glazed interior allows for smooth melting and easy cleaning, while the unglazed exterior provides a practical, heat-resistant finish.

Landert caquelons were widely used during the height of fondue culture in Switzerland in the 1960s–1970s and remain desirable today as authentic examples of mid-century European culinary design.
