A distinctive signed Manuel García Arroyo Spanish studio pottery vase, dating from the 1970s and featuring the ceramicist's characteristic folded "sack" form.


Handcrafted in Spain, the vase has an organic, asymmetrical silhouette with an unusual folded rim and a flowing blue and cream glaze. The layered glaze movement highlights the handmade character of the piece and gives the surface an attractive abstract appearance.


The underside carries the artist's hand-incised signature, adding considerable collector appeal. An unusual example of Spanish studio pottery, particularly suited to collectors of handmade ceramics, mid-century design and sculptural pottery.
