A charming vintage Pearsons of Chesterfield stoneware casserole dish with its original matching lid, finished in the company's characteristic rich brown or "treacle" glaze.


The compact form is ideal for individual portions, small casseroles, baked dishes or general serving and storage. The traditional brown glazed stoneware gives the piece a warm, rustic English country-kitchen appearance.


The underside features the distinctive circular Pearsons of Chesterfield backstamp, including "Est. 1810", "Pearsons of Chesterfield", "Made in England", "Oven-and Freezer-proof" and "Microwave and Dishwasher safe."


The original matching lid is present, making this a particularly useful and attractive complete example of vintage Pearsons kitchenware.
