Portuguese Floral Ceramic Jardinière Plant Stand & Pedestal – Facerama Alcobaça

£200.00Price
Quantity

A striking vintage Portuguese ceramic jardinière and matching pedestal stand dating from the 1970s–1980s. The two-piece set features an embossed floral relief design with raised white daisies, yellow flower centres and green leafy stems, finished with a glossy white glaze.

The tall matching pedestal gives the jardinière an impressive sculptural presence, making it particularly suited to conservatories, hallways, garden rooms or traditional country-house interiors. The scalloped rim and richly modelled floral decoration are characteristic of decorative Portuguese earthenware from the period.

The underside retains factory-style production numbers associated with the moulding process, although no manufacturer's mark remains. The design is strongly consistent with Portuguese ceramics from the Alcobaça region and is attributed to the Facerama style, although the maker cannot be confirmed.

A particularly attractive complete jardinière and pedestal set, considerably more decorative and desirable than a standalone planter.
