Rustic Brutalist Studio Pottery Vessel – Textured Tenmoku Glaze
A striking handmade studio pottery vessel with a distinctive rustic Brutalist and Wabi-Sabi aesthetic. The compact, heavy stoneware body features deep vertical carved grooves across the upper section, creating an organic texture reminiscent of tree bark, weathered stone or natural erosion.
The vessel is finished in a rich dark brown to black iron-rich tenmoku-style glaze, with natural variations in colour and glaze pooling within the carved recesses. The substantial construction and individually worked surface give it the character of late-20th-century studio pottery.
