A stylish vintage Scandinavian-style clear art glass solitary bud vase dating from the 1980s.


Standing 26 cm high, the vase features a tall cylindrical form with a gently flared rim and a substantial base incorporating a distinctive controlled teardrop air bubble. Designed for displaying a single flower or orchid stem, its clean minimalist form reflects the elegant aesthetic associated with Scandinavian glass design and makers such as Holmegaard.


Although unmarked and therefore unattributed, the combination of slender proportions, heavy base and controlled bubble detail gives the piece strong decorative appeal.
