A beautiful vintage hand-painted Talavera earthenware vase produced by the respected La Menora pottery workshop of Talavera de la Reina, Spain, dating from the late 1960s–1970s.

The substantial barrel-shaped form is decorated in traditional Talavera style with colourful hand-painted floral sprays and fern motifs, framed by bold horizontal bands of cobalt blue, yellow and green against a classic off-white tin-glazed ground. The vibrant palette and freehand brushwork exemplify the decorative character of La Menora pottery from the period.

The underside retains its original hand-painted “LA MENORA / TALAVERA” workshop mark, together with the decorator’s initial and shape number “89”, confirming authentic workshop production. Standing 22 cm tall, this is a particularly attractive display piece for collectors of Spanish ceramics, Talavera pottery and mid-century European decorative arts.
