A beautiful vintage French Vieux Grès de Vallauris glazed stoneware skillet with its original matching lid, dating from the 1960s–1970s.
Crafted in Vallauris, France, this rustic poêlon features a rich brown and honey-coloured flowing glaze over durable handmade stoneware, together with a substantial hollow-ended handle, pouring lip and domed fitted lid.
The underside is impressed VALLAURIS, 16 and FAIT MAIN, confirming authentic Vallauris production and handmade manufacture. The combination of distinctive French provincial styling, original lid and excellent condition makes this an attractive piece for collectors of Vallauris pottery and vintage French kitchenware.
